  1. An elegant, intuitive, quiet, yet powerful watch - I cannot recommend this brand enough! by Zach

    I purchased a Slow Mo 01 a few months ago and couldn't be happier with what I received! The moment I read this brand's concept of taking things slow and not obsessing over time, it really spoke to me. I have a tendency to obsess over the exact time or the passing of time with other watches, but with this watch, I can always tell the time and have never actually seen the hand move! The beauty and elegance of this watch comes from its simplicity and intuitive design. One rotation = one day; one perfect circle = one day. You can tell not only the time of day, but you can see in a much more natural sense, as a fraction of a circle representing a 24 hour period, where you are in the day. The single hand rises from midnight at the bottom, peaking at the top at noon, and descending back towards the bottom during sunset. This watch has a way of aligning you with the natural rhythms of the sun, and our own biological rhythms which are insync with them. The design is perhaps the cleanest design I have ever seen in a watch - and I love the fact that there is no brand showing on the face of the watch - this is very hard to find in watches. It is just pure watch - pure time. The rectangular K-beveled case with the circular dial is a great geometrical contrast. There are many more subtle details of this watch that one can appreciate with a keen eye. I highly recommend this watch or any of slow brand watches that suit your style. They carry a quiet sense of power and calm and also are a great conversation starter!

  2. Love the concept - love the design - love wearing it! by Tim Kingsbury

    Loving the concept and the design of Slow Watches, my favourite was the white face of the Slow Mo 01, but I wanted it with the black leather strap to offset the face. Jo in the Slow office suggested the Slow Mo 12 with additional black leather strap - brilliant! I've been wearing it for two months now and love it!

    I was intrigued by the elegance and simplicity of this watch and I have not been disappointed. It comes in very Apple-esk packaging such that when you open the inner box all you see is the round watch face. The bezel is brushed stainless steel. The crown is smooth and precisely moves the single hand when pulled to the second position. I found it very easy to operating the crown and setting the watch. The face has nothing on it but the hour (even hours are marked with numerals) and quarter hour markers, it reminds me of a pressure gauge with 00 (midnight) at the bottom. The rice grain style metal bracelet maintains the simplicity theme by using a deployment clasp that just firmly snaps into place on each side (very minimalist with buttons and unnecessary safety clasps stripped away). Telling time is easy and intuitive, morning on the left, afternoon on the right, noon at the top, midnight at the bottom, with just a glance you know the hour and lingering just a little longer tells you where you are in quarter hour increments. All this from what appears to be a nonfunctional second hand anchored in the center of the face with a small disk. In a world that is full of complications this watch beautifully provides only the essential in an elegant package. I could not be more happy with my purchase, time reimagined.
